Last night, before I closed up my computer for the night, I read through a couple of the blog feeds I subscribe to. One of the blogs I suscribe to is the Official Gmail Blog.
The Gmail team talks about why to use Tasks with your IPhone rather than the old paper version of keeping track of your tasks. They actually went so far to do a competative analysis of the two. I really liked the irony of this post and immediately made me think of Blogging for SEO and coporate marketing vs. the standard form of marketing with brochures.

Online Business Blog
February 5th, 2009
When I hear the phrase “Online Business Blog” I think of a kind of
journal that business professionals use to accomplish several different
things. First, they do this to get the word out better about their
company, what it has to offer, and how it can benefit you. Secondly,
these business professionals are trying to express their feelings on
your company. It can be a kind of like a journal but can be seen by
anyone that wants to see. By allowing these employees to
write posts, they can express themselves about the company and their
job, and of course, since there is a content manager, the information
put on your company website, will for sure be within your (or your administrator’s) control.
Multi User Blog Software

So what a Multi User Blog Software does is exactly what it sounds like. You have more than one person writing up posts to contribute to the overall company blog. You can only have one user, but it wouldn’t be recommended.
What’s Your Blogging Objective?
February 5th, 2009
If you have a corporate blog or are considering a new business blog then you’ve probably asked yourself the question ” what’s our objective?”
If that answer is unclear or intangible then maybe you should reconsider business blogging… at least until you read on.
Every marketing dollar that is spent needs a justified return. Concepts like “thought leadership” and “building community” aren’t returnable in dollars, necessarily.
The true return of business blogging comes down to two things:
1. Leveraging blogs to get found in organic search.
2. Converting blog visitors into potential customers.
Thinking about a business blog as a search marketing tool just as you would your Pay Per Click Campaign, Affiliate Programs or Online Advertising will allow you to provide tangible return and ensure there’s zero ambiguity as to your marketing objective.
Multi User Blog Software

I have talked about this Multi User Blog Software, but I haven’t really explained what it is. So what a Multi User Blog Software does is exactly what it sounds like. You have more than one person writing up posts to contribute to the overall company blog. You can only have one user, but it wouldn’t be recommended. The reason that you should have more than one user is that the more content you create, the more effective your overall is. These employees posting are putting up great content on a regular basis, using your keywords that people are using in their searches. All this together will improve your ranking on google searches because you are supplying everything Google looks for in a search; frequency, recency, and relevency.
